
AHI will begin accepting pre-registration on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. After receipt of your completed pre-registration form, AHI will inform you of a test date. All students will need to take a placement test in order to gauge their present academic level. After the test correction, parents will need to attend a conference with AHI administration in order to determine the grade level most appropriate to the child. On Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 4:00 pm, a lottery drawing will take place.

If there are more pre-registered names than seats available in any one grade, the seats will be awarded through lottery. If there are less pre-registered students than seats available in any one grade, then all students will automatically be registered. Siblings of AHI students will be given priority in registration.
2. Adjustment Period & Ongoing Enrollment
After the lottery, all lottery winners will be notified. There will a week?s period of adjustments, acceptance or withdrawal of enrollment. From Wednesday April 7 onward, if any seats still remain, they will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
3. Timeline
- Pre-registration opens Monday 2/17/2010
- Pre-registration closes Wednesday March 24, 2010 at 12:00 pm
- Lottery drawing takes place Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 4:00 pm
- Period of adjustments, acceptance or withdrawal of enrollment: Thursday April 1, to Wednesday April 7, 2010.
- Completion of enrollment procedures by Wednesday April 14
- Ongoing enrollment for remaining seats, if any: Thursday April 1, 2010 onward

Registration Procedures
A. Pre-Registration
- Obtain Pre-Registration form
Download the pre-registration form (pdf format, 106k), and print it.
- Fill the form and return the completed form to AHI:
1. By scanning it and e-mailing it to registration@aimhighinstitute.org
2. By placing it in an envelope and mailing it to:

4. Please print the handwriting clearly as we are not responsible for any misspelling or incorrect information entered by applicants.
- As soon as your completed form is processed, you will be contacted through email or phone. You will be assigned a date, time and place for placement tests.
- These tests will be scored usually within 1 week. You will be contacted for a family interview to review the results of the placement test.
B. Enrollment
- Once the grade is determined, your child?s name will be placed on the Pre-registered List for that grade level.
- All Pre-registration activities (including testing) will close by 3:00 pm on Tuesday March 30, 2010.
- Only students who have already been assigned a Family ID and a grade level, and have been entered in Pre-registration lists, will be eligible for the lottery and/or enrollment.
- Should the Pre-registration list of any particular grade contain the same or less than the number of seats available, all students on the list will automatically be enrolled.
- Administration will then check the Family ID of all enrolled students, for any pre-registered siblings in other grades. These siblings will be given priority and accepted automatically as well, if they have not already been so.
- The remaining grades will be checked for the number of remaining available seats.
- The remaining grades will go through lottery drawing, in order of ascending number of available seats. After each drawing, the accepted students will be checked for pre-registered siblings in other grade levels, and these siblings accepted.
- The process is repeated until all grades have been processed.
C. Withdrawals and Adjustments
- Between Thursday April 1, and Wednesday April 7, 2010, AHI Administration will contact all pre-registered families to notify them of their enrollment status.
- All families that did not get enrolled will be given the choice of being placed on a waiting list or of withdrawing their pre-registration.
- All enrolled families will be asked to accept or reject their enrollment status.
- Any remaining vacant seats will be offered to families on the waiting list, in the chronological order of filing for pre-registration (date and time).
- All withdrawals and adjustments will take place in the week of April 1-7, 2010.
- The count of enrolled students will be finalized on Thursday April 8, 2010.
D. Completion of Registration
- All enrolled students are expected to complete their registration between April 8 and April 15, 2010.
- AHI Administration reserves the right to remove from the enrollment list any student not fully registered by Thursday April 15, 2010, 3:00 pm.
- These vacancies will be offered to families next on the waiting list.
- To complete registration, the following items need to be submitted.
a) Immunization records.
b) Medical information form.
c) Transcripts or report cards from previous school, if applicable.
d) Birth Certificate.
e) Standardized test scores, if applicable.
f) PE waiver, Internet waiver, photo and video permission.
